The Authors League Fund Centennial Celebration

Please join Jennifer Egan, Joshua Ferris, Daniel Handler, Margo Jefferson, Norman Rush, James B. Stewart, Peter Straub, Elizabeth Strout, and other friends as we celebrate 100 years of helping professional writers in need.

Since 1917, the Authors League Fund has helped thousands of writers and dramatists enduring medical problems, temporary loss of income, or other misfortune. Many suffer severe health problems but have inadequate insurance; some face eviction; others are older writers whose income has ceased through no fault of their own. The Fund exists to help professional writers continue their careers, even their lives, with dignity by providing direct assistance for pressing expenses.
